Since joining Carubba Engineering in 2011, John Lambertson has established himself as an invaluable asset to Carubba Engineering, refining his expertise across planning, permitting, code research, and inspections. Throughout his career, John has facilitated project approvals for a diverse array of developments, adeptly navigating complex regulatory requirements. His work includes managing submittals for approval from key bodies such as the New Orleans City Council, Board of Zoning Adjustments, Historic Landmark Commission, City Planning Commission, and the Design Review Committee. Additionally, he actively organizes Neighborhood Planning and Participation meetings, ensuring that community perspectives play a vital role in the development process.

John’s proficiency in construction inspection spans initial assessments of site conditions, oversight of construction progress, Fire Marshal inspections for Certificates of Completion, and final building inspections to secure Certificates of Occupancy. His strong project coordination skills often lead him to collaborate with Parish and City officials, strategizing ways to secure project approvals that adhere to local codes and standards. When projects necessitate zoning changes or variances, John advocates for them in City Council and Board meetings, clearly conveying the technical details essential for securing approvals.

John’s broad knowledge and refined skills in both technical and regulatory aspects make him an indispensable asset to Carubba Engineering, allowing him to seamlessly bridge project requirements with municipal standards to ensure efficient and successful project outcomes.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelsey, and his three dogs. He enjoys grilling and staying active through the Over the Mountain Athletic Club.
