Senior Project Manager

Dean brings more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry and serves as Senior Project Manager for Carubba Engineering. Throughout his career, he has managed a diverse portfolio of projects, including restaurants, schools, warehouses, churches, multifamily developments, and retail facilities. His extensive background in construction management, estimating, field operations, and schedule management enables him to guide projects from planning through completion with a focus on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Dean’s career began as a sheet metal worker before advancing through roles as a mechanic, estimator, shop foreman, project manager, business owner, and senior project manager. This well-rounded experience gives him a practical understanding of every phase of construction and allows him to identify potential challenges early, develop effective solutions, and keep projects moving forward. He is particularly skilled in schedule management, cost control, quality assurance, and proactive problem-solving. Among the accomplishments he is most proud of is serving on the design-build team for the restoration of the historic Carver Theater, a project that showcased both technical expertise and thoughtful collaboration.

Outside of work, Dean enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his wife, Kim, their four children, Jody, Joshua, Connor, and Cassidy, and their 11 grandchildren. A lifelong New Orleans resident and Saints fan, he values the relationships he’s built throughout his career and believes that strong communication, continuous learning, and follow-through are the keys to lasting professional success.
